Watfords of Wombwell completed the infill of the existing external courtyard to provide an internal area for the new outpatient's entrance including openings into the existing 'live' hospital. The project included the installation of escalators and a passenger lift housed within a glazed atrium.

Globe Architects designed the £1,200,000 project for Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which was completed in May 2008.
