SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY - New substation
Watfords of Wombwell teamed up with Bradfield Mechanical and Electrical to construct
an electricity substation for Sheffield Hallam University on the collegiate campus.

The building was constructed adjacent to a main thoroughfare on a very steep
section of ground.

 
  This required heavy reinforced foundations to account for this together with the loads from the substation
equipment. The building is of stone construction to the main walls and provides a roof top seating area.
