A Design and Build development
for Touchstone Housing Association funded by The Housing Corporation.
This is the development of a 'brownfield' site in the Peak District National
Park village of Castleton. The site was previously used as a quarry.
We constructed two semi-detached
houses and two semi-detached bungalows.
The original ground level of the site was approx 3m below the adjacent
ground. The engineered solution was to build a 3m high retaining wall
to the cartilage of the site and raise the overall level of the site by
3m.
